We assure you there are no signs of parasites or disease when we sell our birds, and all our animals are healthy. That means our birds are completely free of viral and pathogenic bacterial infections: fungal infections and congenital deformities.
All birds come with a 5-day restricted health guarantee. If the bird is not healthy, we will replace the bird or offer a full refund of the purchase price if we can prove that the bird was not healthy at the date of purchase. After a bird has left our house, the conditions are out of our control. Therefore, we cannot offer bird guarantees after the 5-day time frame. Suppose your avian veterinarian examines health within the time frame allotted and uncovers a health issue that is too expensive to treat or a problem that cannot be fixed and we cannot fix. In that case, we will exchange a bird of similar type or worth or even repurchase the bird. For this, you have to surrender the bird to me along with a written note from your vet describing the cause of the disease. The letter must be written and printed on the vet’s official letter pad with a vet’s rubber stamp. Birds will either be replaced or exchanged for the entire cost of purchase.
Suppose your bird is killed within five days after purchase; immediately cool (not put in a freezer) the bird’s body inside an airtight plastic bag. Then, take the bird that died in the space of 12 hours to a certified veterinarian for autopsy to determine the reason for the death. If a virus or a congenital hatch defect is identified as the reason for death, it will be replaced or exchanged for the entire purchase price. The letter must have a rubber vet stamp seal on the official vet’s pad. Before receiving the refund, video and pictures of the dead birds must be presented to us along with an identification tag.
It is agreed that the Seller cannot be held responsible for any medical bills incurred by a veterinarian, including charges for necropsies or the refund of shipping costs when the bird was initially delivered to you. Buyer understands that if you remove the band from your bird, the Health Guarantee becomes null and is null. The vet must mention the band number and why the band was removed when explaining a health issue or reason for death.
The bird’s health is assured for 3 days following an AVIAN Certified vet’s inspection at the purchaser’s sole discretion and cost. Suppose the bird’s health is unsatisfactory, and a written report from an accredited, licensed, AVIAN-CERTIFIED vet is provided and accepted. In that case, the buyer must immediately take the birds to breeders for a full refund of the cost of the bird. The documentation must contain the band number as well as the species. The breeder is not accountable for any expenses that the buyer incurs during this period or for the cost of returning the bird to the breeder.
In the event of a death in the twelve (12) days of the time that the buyer takes possession of the bird, the bird should be wrapped in paper towels, put into a sealed bag, and then refrigerated (not frozen) until a licensed, qualified Avian Veterinarian can conduct an autopsy within seventy-two hours after the bird’s death. Reports must be provided to the veterinarian, including the band number and the species. If an autopsy can prove beyond doubt that death resulted from issues that began before the time of sale, a new baby is provided from the next group of species that were initially identified. The buyer will bear the expense of the autopsy. The breeder is not responsible for any other costs or for issues with different birds. AccordingAccording to clause 3(a), The bird must be quarantined. It is the responsibility of the buyer to quarantine the bird.
Guarantee null and void if the requirements listed below are not fulfilled:
- The bird must be placed in a quarantine and kept away from other birds, and an Avian-certified veterinarian’s exam must be completed within 24 hours following the possession.
- If you have another bird or bird from the same area during the past year, you should document their health condition and medical information. This is because some viruses can remain in the environment for several months after an infected bird is taken away.
